NCC Green

NCC is committed to protecting individuals and their families from known causes of cancer.  Our environmental program, NCC Green, seeks to bring attention to and prevent actions or events that would expose individuals to environmental causes of cancer or other serious disease. 

One of our first initiatives was to help Louisiana local, state and federal officials recognize that floodwaters from Hurricane Katrina left behind large amounts of cancer causing materials. As a result of NCC’s efforts, officials conducted environmental testing of temporary group resident sites. The tests detected the presence of carcinogens; therefore actions were taken so that individuals were not exposed to these harmful materials.

We are pleased to be helping in a constructive way to make our leaders more accountable, while protecting future generations of Americans to be cancer and disease free.
