Location: Brenner Children's Hospital, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA

Dr. Thomas McLean has worked at the Brenner Children’s Cancer Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC for over 10 years. In that time, he’s worked with many patients whose cancer has gone into long-term remission, and with others whose cancer has returned. The question in his mind has been, “Is there a correlation between the treatment we gave and the reoccurrence, specifically around their cumulative exposure to radiation treatment?” He wants to learn more, so NCC has given him an Angel Grant to help this research.

This is the kind of impact your support of NCC can have.  You give doctors essential support that allows them to develop new treatment options for patients with cancer, and ensure that researchers are moving forward toward the most effective care possible.

If you’ve given in the past to support NCC’s work, thank you so much.  You can see the impact your support makes.

Please make a gift today to help other cancer researchers like Dr. McLean via our Angel Grants program.
